At the end of April 2024, the first automated shop at a Czech airport with continuous opening hours was inaugurated. And it doesn’t only target passengers, but also people from the surrounding area.

Originally, automated shops were the privilege of smaller towns and rural areas. But increasingly, they are also being used in busy places such as airports. Passengers and locals can shop in one of these outlets at Ostrava Airport in Mosnov. In addition to the classic range of mixed goods, customers can also purchase travel-related items, as well as regional products. The shop operates completely without staff, who only take care of replenishment of goods and other additional operational activities.
